Looking forward to helping to build a better and brighter 2021
2020 has been an interesting and busy year for Scale-Ability and, as for many other businesses, it has presented both challenge and opportunity, with interesting and inspiring projects and partnerships already formed and more in development.
To round up a year full of learning, new experiences and growth, we wanted to share a brief outline of just some of the exciting things we’ve been delighted to be involved with over the last few weeks:
Peer Networks, powered by Boost, Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub
We’ve been busy delivering six of these sessions as partners for Peer Networks, powered by Boost, Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, with a focus on Connecting brand, strategy and people, helping SMEs survive and thrive in challenging economic conditions.
There’s been such a positive buzz around this from local business leaders who have come together to address key challenges and to grow and develop their company for their own business success and the future of our region. We’ve had some excellent, positive feedback, to date, and we have also listened…
This scheme is about using best practice to facilitate a collaborative environment through which the group can be inspired to develop new ways of thinking, to support other leaders facing similar challenges, and to help shape a resilient and optimistic business landscape for Lancashire. The constructive feedback from the group is helping us to guide and shape future group sessions when we pick up again in 2021 and move further forward with the one-to-one sessions.
I’m also honoured to be working with Marketing Lancashire to help shape their Peer Networks programme for likeminded business leaders in Lancashire to address key challenges and reach their goals.
Boost selected Marketing Lancashire to deliver Peer Networks: Redefining Leisure and Tourism, which helps senior leaders in tourism and hospitality SMEs to generate practical solutions to the challenges and impacts arising from COVID-19. Some of the topics across these sessions include brand development, online marketing and recruitment, business resilience and innovation for sustainable business growth.
Sub36 Awards/Community and Business Partners
The Sub36 Awards honour the most influential, innovative and inspiring business people aged sub36 across Lancashire which are supported by Community and Business Partners CIC
(CBP). I’ve been proud to work with CPB, based in Blackburn, which provides services to the local community and businesses across the North West. They run a number of high-impacting projects and launched the Northern Mentoring Programme in 2018.
In recognition of their achievement, the Sub36 winners are offered mentoring from a CBP mentor. Since the impressive list of award winners was announced at a virtual event, towards the end of October, I was delighted to be asked to deliver a workshop preparing both mentors and mentees for the exciting mentoring journey they will embark on in 2021.
As we at Scale-Ability take some time to reflect, relax and enjoy Christmas with our loved ones, after a year that has presented a unique set of hurdles to get over, no matter who or where you are, we want to send you Season’s Greetings and look forward to a positive new year full of personal, professional and business development and inspiring ‘Magic Mentoring Moments’.
We look forward to helping to build a bright and better future for Lancashire Business.
